Torben

Torben is a Grizzly bear, a subspecies of brown bear that live in North America. The name “grizzly” comes from their typical physical characteristic of having fur that is “grizzled” – that is, the fur tips are lighter in color, giving them a sort of “grizzled” look. However, it’s important to note that brown bears come in a wide range of colors, from almost black to a light creamy color.

Grizzly bears are most commonly found in Alaska, western Canada, and parts of the northwestern United States including Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. Isolated populations also exist in the Yellowstone National Park and in Northwestern Montana. Grizzly bears inhabit a wide range of habitats including forests, alpine meadows, prairies, arctic tundra, and even coastal regions. They’re known for being especially adaptable, which allows them to live in a variety of different ecosystems.
